While I'm waiting...

I have cried many tears this morning. Letting go of my own plans...my own timeline...is not easy. It's difficult and painful.

So as I let go of what I thought I knew, I'm holding on to what I know for sure.

I know...
God called us to adopt a child from Ethiopia.
He is in control.
His timing is perfect.
His word commands me to wait for him.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Psalm 27:14

And through tearful, tender moments with God today, I'm beginning to see that He has plans for us even as we wait.

The lyrics below share my heart better than anything I could ever write.

While I'm Waiting
by John Waller

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord
